ABOUT

Christian Gonzales is one of San Diego's rising young violinists and violin teachers. A graduate of Juilliard and UCLA, he is the winner of the 2022 Atwater Kent Concerto Competition and finalist of the 2025 Agustín Aponte International Music Competition, and is in frequent demand as a soloist, recitalist, and orchestral musician. As the founder of the Christian Gonzales Violin Studio LLC, he is quickly establishing a reputation as an educator with a unique teaching style neccessary for studying violin in the 21st century.

Gonzales' mission as a performer is to help elevate and develop the musical community of San Diego through concerts and educational opportunities.

CHRISTIAN GONZALES VIOLIN STUDIO

The Christian Gonzales Violin Studio LLC offers fine-quality violin lessons in San Diego, California. It was officially founded in April 2025 by violinist and San Diego native Christian Gonzales.

With over a decade of teaching experience as well as pedagogy training from Juilliard, Gonzales brings a hybrid approach which is influenced by some of the greatest violin teachers in history. He has given masterclasses across Southern California and is writing a five-volume series titled Violin Technique. Through is numerous pedagogical influences, Gonzales brings a unique approach to violin teaching that he believes is necessary for studying music in the 21st century.

The studio strives to be a supportive, ambitious, and creative learning space for violinists of any age and level. Success is not only defined by the traditional programs of auditions, competitions, and performances, but also by personal growth, creative freedom, and insightful knowledge.
